Searching for more than just a club? Do you have a heart of gold and loves to help out in every way? At SMU Red Cross, we are more than just a CCA. It is a way of living in the spirit of volunteerism and contributing back to the society with the closely nurtured support from each other. SMU Red Cross is a community service club under SICS dedicated to relieving human suffering, protecting human lives and dignity and responding to emergencies.
At SMU Red Cross, we organize a variety of fun and interactive activities to make an impact towards the society. Our activities include:
Project Advancing Community (AC) and Project Developing Children (DC)
Where we teach children and elderly the important life-saving skills that prepares them for emergencies and could make the difference between life and death
Internal Blood Donation Drives
Where we raise awareness of the importance of blood donation and provide avenues for the SMU students and the public to do so. Organising this event allows us to contribute to Singapore’s Blood supplies, important in saving lives.
First Aiders on Wheels and Community First Aid
We play our role as first responders by providing first aid support to school events and by patrolling at East Coast Park to help the injured.
Red Cross Orientation Camp
This camp allows our incoming Red Cross members to bond with others in the club as well as understand our history, values and initiatives better.
Project Rice and Meals on Wheels
We participate in these initiatives to minimise the struggles of homebound elderly by ensuring they have access to daily necessities. As a member of SMU Red Cross, you will be affiliated with the largest humanitarian network with over 17 million volunteers in 190 countries. Join us if you want a meaningful experience that makes a positive impact on society.
